Missouri Division of Professional Registration
PR HomeONLINE RENEWAL - FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Why isn't my profession able to renew online yet?
A: Each board and commission is being handled on a case by case basis. There is no set time line for when a specific board will participate. There is no need to contact your board. They will advise their licensees before participating.
Q: Why is there an additional fee for renewing my license online?
A: This is the fee charged by the vendor who processes your payments. The additional fee is not collected or used by the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Instead the fee is paid directly to the vendor and covers expenses such as the security needed for the transaction and transfer of funds, verification that a credit card or bank account is valid, and reporting successful transactions.
Q: How much is the additional fee for renewing my license online?
A: The vendor processing fee is a percentage determined by your renewal fee (see chart below).
Renewal Fee | Fee Calculation |
$00.01 - $50.00 | $1.25 |
$50.01 - $70.00 | $1.75 |
$70.01 - $100.00 | $2.15 |
$100.01 - or more | 2.15% (of renewal fee) |
Q: Is the application secure?
A: Yes. The entire site (renew.pr.mo.gov) uses SSL and 128-bit encryption. Also, the Missouri Division of Professional Registration does not keep or store your full Credit Card or Bank Account information. Instead it is securely passed to an outside vendor who specializes in secure online transactions.
Q: What is my PIN number?
A: Your PIN number is used to ensure secure access to your records within this system. This can be found on your license renewal form. Please keep this information in a safe location.
Q: What if I've forgotten or lost my PIN number?
A: You will need to contact the specific board directly to obtain your PIN.
Q: Can others access my license renewal records?
A: A user of this system would need your license number and your PIN number to access the records within this system. Please keep this information in a safe location. Also, no recorded changes are processed unless the final payment step is completed online.
Q: Why can't I change my name and/or address?
A: Typically, boards and commissions require some type of documentation in order to change these items. If your information appears incorrect please contact your board or commission.
