Request for Retired Nurse License Status By submitting this form, you are requesting a paper renewal be mailed/emailed to you so you may request a retired license status. While on retired status, you cannot practice for monetary compensation. However, you may use your nurse title and provide volunteer services. You will be required to renew your retired nurse license every two years and pay the retired nurse renewal fee that is currently set at $15. The board of nursing quarterly newsletter will continue to be mailed to you. If you plan to resume nursing practice, you must follow the procedures to reinstate your nursing license. The form to do so can be found at https://pr.mo.gov/nursing.asp under the Licensure and then Form to Renew Expired Missouri License.
