LPN Renewal Information

LPN licenses expire on 5-31 of each even-numbered year. You need to have two accounts. One with Nursys® e-Notify (national system) and the other with our licensing system (state system) called MOPRO. Enroll yourself as a Nurse in Nursys® e-Notify at www.nursys.com/enotify in order to receive license renewal reminders and notification of any changes to your license or discipline status.

Your LPN license will be eligible for renewal every even-numbered year between March 1 and May 31. You will go to your account in the MOPRO portal at mopro.mo.gov/license/s/. Access your account, click on MY LICENSES, the eye icon and then RENEWAL APPLICATION.

No Grace Period to Renew

There is no grace period to renew. A nurse is required to renew 3 business days prior to the expiration date. Failure to do so may result in the license becoming lapsed, which requires the nurse to complete a reinstatement application, submit additional fees and submit to fingerprint background checks.

Missouri does not issue a license card. The public, including employers, can verify your license at https://www.nursys.com/ by clicking on LOOK UP A LICENSE on the QuickConfirm pane. This is a free service. Select QuickConfirm, which is the center pane.
