Continuing Education

Registered Interior Designers must complete a minimum of one (1) unit of approved continuing education every two (2) years prior to renewal of the registration.

One unit of continuing education is equal to ten (10) contact hours of education.

    Five (5) contact hours of teaching in interior design or architecture
    constitutes one continuing education credit.

    One college course credit in interior design or architecture constitutes one
    continuing education credit.

Courses authorized by the Missouri Interior Design Council, the Interior Design Continuing Education Council or the American Institute of Architects are approved for continuing education credit.

Continuing education courses in interior design are offered locally through idcEC member organizations and nationally through international interior design conferences and symposiums.
