2017 Rule Review

Pursuant to the Executive Order 17-03 the Missouri Acupuncture Advisory Committee will be conducting a full review of all its rules. Anyone can submit a comment to the rules in writing, via email, or fax. Please see contact information on the left hand side of the Advisory Committee's web page. Comments must be submitted no later than December 15th. Public hearings for the rules will be posted at a later date.

Also, public comments can be submitted online (https://renew.pr.mo.gov/acupuncturist-proposed.asp) until December 15, 2017.


NOTICE - License Renewal

If your acupuncture license expires June 30, 2017, a post card renewal notice will be sent by April 2nd via regular mail. The notice includes instructions on how to renew online or request a paper renewal form. Licensees are reminded that the online renewal process must be completed prior to 6:59 p.m. on June 30th. It is recommended a licensee start the online renewal process no later than 6:45 p.m. on June 30th to insure there is adequate time to complete the process. The renewal fee will be $50 with an online processing fee of $1.25 charged by and paid directly to the vendor that processes online payment.

Paper renewal forms, accompanied by the renewal fee, must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2017.

In August, 2017 the committee plans to conduct a random audit of continuing education compliance for the 2015-2017 licensure cycle. Licensees will be notified by mail with instructions on how to report continuing education.

If a licensee needs to update an address or contact information, please send an email to acupuncture@pr.mo.gov or fax the information to 573/751-0735. Updates to licensure information cannot be completed by calling the committee office. When corresponding by e-mail and/or facsimile (fax), please refrain from including any sensitive personal identifying information such as Social Security Number or Date of Birth. After renewal post cards are mailed, a licensee can obtain a paper renewal form by contacting the committee by email, fax, or calling 573/526-1555. Remember: the online renewal system will close at 6:59 p.m. on June 30th.


Sensitive Information

When corresponding with the Acupuncturist Advisory Committee by e-mail and/or facsimile (fax), please refrain from including any sensitive personal identifying information such as Social Security Number or Date of Birth. The Advisory Committee does not need you to include sensitive personal information, in order to respond to your email or fax.
