The History of Professional Registration's Website:
1995 -
The Department of Economic Development (DED), which included the Division of Professional Registration (PR), releases one of the first Missouri State Government websites. The site acts as a Missouri State Government portal for a short time and offers links to city sites, colleges and health services in Missouri.

1996 -
DED departs from being a state web portal and undergoes a redesign, developing individual websites for the Division of Finance, Division of Tourism, Division of Professional Registration and many others. PR releases their first individual website which offers downloadable licensee information for the first time.
The PR website undergoes their first redesign. The new site offers a web presence for each of the boards and commissions, adds downloadable publications, employee listings, and expands their use of downloadable licensee information.
Late in the year, the PR website undergoes another redesign. This time a number of new features are added to the website including a licensee search which updates directly with the internal licensing system and is updated nightly. Early in 2004, PR releases the Online Renewal System, allowing many of their licensees to complete license renewal via the web. Over the next few years, other boards, professions and features are added to the Online Renewal System. Other online systems such as online exams and surveys are also added over the following years.

2008 -
Late in 2008, the PR website undergoes a complete code retooling and layout redesign. Focus is placed on readability, usability, browser compatibility and compliance with web programming standards. The new site design eliminates the use of tables and relies on Cascading Style Sheets for layout and design control. New features such as customized user preference font sizing and color choice are added to the website.
